Estoppel Letters

The Woodbriar Village HOA does not issue estoppel letters. Our association is a voluntary one; therefore our fees are not mandatory.

We held our annual member meeting on January 22, 2022. Only nine of the 66 member households attended, and no one volunteered to replace the retiring president and director-at-large, who have have served a combined 13 terms on the Board, including a combined six as president.

While the Board can get by without an at-large, it can’t function without a president. The other three Board members are willing to continue serving, but are not willing to take on the president’s duties in addition to their own duties.

So until we get a new president, the Board has decided to suspend most activities.

We’ll continue maintaining the front entrance. We have an ongoing agreement with the contractor and the treasury has enough money to continue the service for at least another year.

We’ll also keep the HOA registered with the state for as long as we have the money. That includes paying the administrative costs – registration fees, PO box, email account, etc. That will make it easier if people want to resume operations in the near future.

The following activities will be suspended, primarily because there will be no one to organize and coordinate them, which is mainly the president’s responsibility.

• Collecting dues
• Ordering and distributing luminaries
• Christmas Party
• Easter Egg Hunt
• Neighborhood Cleanup
• Neighborhood Garage Sale

If no one volunteers to be president, then the outgoing Board will follow the plan outlined above until the money runs out and then we’ll dissolve the Association.
